Two common tropes of movie Hacking are the Extreme Graphical Representation and the Viewer Friendly Interface. These tropes exist because, as a popcorn-eating movie-goer, I probably don’t know that most hackers operate in something like bash. We viewers need to know quickly what a character is doing, without having to know how computers actually work.
